On Aug. 22, 2008 the Charles County Commissioners unveiled a plaque dedicating Regency Furniture Stadium in memory of John Thomas Parran, Jr., a longtime pitcher for the Indian Head Indians in the Charles-St. Mary's League and a Delegate and Senator for Maryland. Scores of baseball players, friends and current and former elected officials gathered for the tribute.
